David Vane ...

 

...has had a varied career over his 70 years including teaching, financial services,  starting an internet cafe - Cyberscone in 1995, starting a web design business, and setting up an SME business support network in the South of England.
 

- Business

Recently David was responsible for leading a group of SMEs to help over 200 start-up businesses with grants from the Government. He is passionate about what the small business owner can offer the UK.

- Music
He is an experienced performer and teacher having spent many years teaching guitar and piano to well over 200 adults and children. He took a break from teaching to pursue a career in web and online marketing over the last few years but has decided to return  -" I have always enjoyed teaching whether it is piano or guitar or technology. The rewards of helping people to achieve something creative is great!"

He has worked as a session musician and has performed in many different bands including Razmataz (8 piece band) at Top Rank in Plymouth and Pontins Christchurch, Liaison, Serendipity Duo ... he currently plays keyboards and guitar with Goldrush Harmony. He is also musical director for The Wessex Chordsmen barbershop group who perform around the Winchester and Southampton area

However he has also spent some of the last few years teaching computer users and more recently helping people to use smart phones and tablets.
